About the School
ThinkYoung STEM School is a 6-week programme designed to train youth in demand-driven STEM skills and help them pursue a higher education path in specific STEM subjects in Ethiopia.
STEM education is a key pillar of 21st-century skills development. Aspiring to become a middle-income country by 2025, Ethiopia has registered significant economic growth in the past ten years. To sustain its current growth, the government has focused on tackling skills gaps and mismatches, specifically boosting STEM education and employment.
In partnership, Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines are working to develop two STEM education programs with the objective of increasing the talent pipeline for the aviation industry in Ethiopia.
ThinkYoung STEM school will have two different programmes running in parallel. One dedicated to upskilling students and the other dedicated to upskilling alumni across the country.
