German Federal immigrant parents’ association for education and participation, CEO www.bundeselternnetzwerk.de Born in 1970 and raised in Naumburg/Saale in East Germany, mother of one and three bonus kids, lives in Halle/Saale and works in Berlin, studied Middle Eastern Studies and Arabic language, Social Management and holds certificates in Systemic Counselling and NLP (Master). Worked as a counsellor for victims of right-wing violence in East Germany, then as a managing director and counsellor in an Association for intercultural couples and families before starting to work with bbt in 2021. Bbt as an immigrant parents’ organisation with 17 member organisations lays an emphasis on empowerment and self organizing of marginalised groups and works at the intersection between education, family and migration.

Project coordinator European Parents' Association (EPA), Arja Krauchenberg holds an MA in romance languages from Vienna University with a special focus on multilingualism, diversity and interculturalism and has also trained as a certified tourist guide. A mother of three Arja has lived abroad for almost twenty years and has been actively involved in parents’ representation in the schools attended by her children in different countries. Upon return to her native Austria she started to engage in the regional parents’ association and was later elected member of the board of the European Parents’ Association (EPA) where she served as president 2018-19 and is currently engaged as project coordinator. In 2020 she also joined the executive committee of OIDEL (an INGO that promotes the right to education). A lifelong learner herself, she was a member of the Steering Committee of Lifelong Learning Platform (LLLP) 2019-2024. In May 2021 she also became a member of the executive board of EUFIC (European Food and Information Council). Arja advocates for a holistic and learner-centered approach in education. Formal, informal and non- formal education should help each learner to develop his/her full and unique potential to be able to lead a fulfilled life. Formal settings should be motivating places where teachers and educators can be enablers of learning and provide guidance about all the possibilities of future careers.

Foundation dedicated to improving the well-being and quality of life of adolescents and young people, focused on sociological research of youth, awareness campaigns. and in programs about: - prevention (misinformation, hate speech, drug abuse and other addictions, violence…) - training for digital citizenship and employment, - development of life skills, both in Spain and in Latin America. She also participates in the Committee of Experts for a Safe and Healthy Internet for Kids, and is a member of the advisory committee of the CEU Addiction Center. Beatriz has been working in non for profit since 2006. She has been responsible for strategic alliances and fundraising in LATAM in Ayuda en Acción and in an NGO to support homeless people in the NY (USA). Her previous experience of 20 years has been developed in companies from different industries, in both HR and Diversity areas. She is a psychologist with several postgraduate studies. He has collaborated in teaching and as co-author of several essays.

Educator and trainer, is the founder and president of the Pepita ngo, which for years has been involved in the implementation of interventions for the prevention of adolescent and youth discomfort. In 2017 he co-founded the Carolina Foundation. He has been a lecturer at the Catholic University of Milan - Faculty of Education Sciences and Faculty of Primary Education Sciences. In 2017 he was appointed expert in the technical-scientific committee for the coordination of cyberbullying prevention activities established by the Regional School Office of Lombardy. Since 2017, he has been an expert advisor on issues related to sexual bullying for the European Commission. Since 2018, he has been appointed Secretary General of Fondazione Carolina and has been a member of the Lombardy Region Council for the contrast and prevention of bullying and cyberbullying. He is an expert member of the Media and Minors Observatory of Corecom Lombardia, Corecom Lazio and Corecom Calabria.

After her studies, Marjet held various positions in the field of communications and consultancy. When she became a mother, she noticed that there were many discussions about work and family life in the Netherlands. When she discovered there was no one who was committed to this in a broad sense, she started an organization herself that represents the interests of parents in the Netherlands. They now participate in discussions about childcare, leave, mental health of parents and children, poverty and education. One of Marjet’s personal goals is to get children to play outside more. Marjet, her husband and her twins live in the centre of the Netherlands.

She is the president of the Danish Parental Union. She was elected president in 2019, and before that she worked for a Danish Trade Union. She is a mother of 2 girls, and lives in Copenhagen.

I am a mother of six children, ranging in age from 11 to 31. Over the years, I have traveled extensively throughout Europe with my children, which has deepened my commitment to fostering openness and embracing diversity. For the past 17 years, I have been an active volunteer with APEL (Association of Parents of French Private Schools), where I currently serve as the president of the Paris chapter and a member of the national board. Our core mission is to support parents in their crucial role as the first and most important educators of their children.

Áine started her career as a trainee accountant, then changed direction and spent the following eight years undertaking a nursing career as a general and paediatric nurse. After nursing Aine went back to fulltime education for several years. Following her third-level education Áine worked for two years in the area of residential child and adolescent psychiatry following which she went on to work for the ISPCC as the Childline Manager. She finished nine years with the ISPCC as the Director of Services, and in August 2007 was appointed CEO of the National Parents Council Primary (NPC). During her time with the NPC, Áine has overseen the extension of supports to parents of children in Early Years education in 2017 and parents of children in post primary education in 2022. In her role as CEO in the NPC Áine was appointed to the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) and the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) by the Minister for Education and Skills; served on the Board of the Children’s Rights Alliance and was appointed to the Teaching Council and served on the first fitness-to-teach hearing panel. Áine has served on a number of Department of Education and Skill’s committees, including the National Advisory Group for School Self Evaluation, the Advisory Committee on Traveller Education and the Child Protection Review Committee. Áine sits on the Irish Safer Internet Centre Advisory Committee. Outside of Ireland Áine represents NPC on the European Parents’ Association. During Áine’s long career working with children and families she has held a child centred and children’s rights approach at the core of her practice and believes that working in partnership with children and young people is essential.
