Why?

The project aims at showcasing all the perspectives of young Ukranians on their country in the aftermath of the Maidan protests, as well as making the European population aware of the situation within Ukraine.

The project was awarded in 2015 by Advocate Europe, which is open to civil society actors who seek financing and support to realise sustainable ideas from fields such as civic education, arts, culture or social innovation.

Synopsis

Anton is a 22 years-old from Irpin, Ukraine.

When his country faces war in the Donbass region, he enlists as a volunteer in the AZOV Battalion and goes to war.

The film follows young volunteers as they go through enlistment, training, and combat.

After being seriously wounded in the front line, Anton will return home, trying to adjust to civilian life again.

There will be 20 film screenings and debates in the EU, Ukraine included

Thanks to our partners and collaborators (Ambassadors, Universities, student associations...), ThinkYoung will organize one screening in several countries of Europe, Ukraine included, on November 21st of 2016, the symbolic date of the beginning of the protests.

Feedback from the audience will be surveyed after each screening. Indeed, the impact of the movie on the public will be evaluated by collecting young people's feelings before and after both the online viewing and the screening debates (comments and questions asked during and after the debates, comments posted online, etc...)
