Arianna
Whelan
-
Member of the writing team. A true European: Italian-Irish, born and raised in the UK, lucky enough to have attended a European School, with a degree in European Social and Political Studies from University College London obtained in May 2009. It was while on exchange at Sciences-Po Paris in 2008 that a fascination with corruption and organised crime was born, subjects of many an essay and dissertation. This background has led to a conviction that the European Union is the best answer we have to global challenges, and an opportunity our generation must make the most of! Employment has included jobs as varied as working for Nectar Italia in Milan, market research, putting linguistic skills to good use in voluntary translation projects (and the odd bit of agricultural work!) but it is a (slightly unusual) passion for treaties which has led to a Masters in International Law at IHEID in Geneva from September 2010.
